Policy Submissions & Position Papers

The following policy areas form the basis of policy review and development for the eccv in 2010-2011.

At the Victorian State level:

Aged care for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities;
Language services provision;
New and emerging communities;
CALD communities and drug and alcohol issues;
CALD communities and families, women, youth and children;
Racism and discrimination;
CALD communities and mental health issues;
CALD communities and chronic health conditions;
Maintenance of the bi-partisan approach to Multiculturalism;

At the Federal Government level and in consultation with ARC and FECCA, eccv will keep a watching brief on the following areas:

Population policy
Immigration and settlement polices
Refugee and asylum seeker policy
Counter-terrorism laws; and
Support for Multiculturalism.
